Robert West

Robert West passed away peacefully at his residence in Woodbury, GA on May 22, 2024. He was born on May 9, 1947, in Fairburn, GA, making him 77 years old at the time of his passing.
Robert dedicated 33 years of his life as a DECA teacher, leaving a lasting impact on students at Campbell High School and Creekside High School, both in Fairburn. He was cherished by his family and friends, and his absence will be deeply felt.
In addition to his work as a teacher, Robert was a proud graduate of UGA and a devoted Bulldog fan. He was known as a jack of all trades, having grown up on a farm where he honed his skills in fixing anything from houses to cars and excelling with numbers.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Valerie West, and their children Jennifer West Gordon (Kristopher), Amanda West Smith (Clint), Daniel West, and Lindsey West Oldham (Brian). Robert was a proud grandfather to Ashley, Jakob, Brady, and Myles Gordon; Davin Hwang; Maddie and Harper Smith; Liam, Eli, Ethan, and Isla Oldham. He is also survived by many extended family members.
A graveside service for Robert will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 2 o'clock at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will from 12:30-1:30 at Parrott Funeral Home.
