Robert Charles Whitaker, Jr., was as natural a people-person as you would ever meet. He loved people and loved to help people, especially when a problem would arise. He was the definition of a problem solver with an outgoing and open heart.
Robert passed away at The Miriam Hospital in Providence on Friday April 11, 2025. He was born on March 7, 1962 in Providence, son of Bernice (Mutter) Whitaker and the late Robert Charles Whitaker, Sr. He was a graduate of Salve Regina University in Newport, RI where he majored in English and Theater. Mr. Whitaker resided in East Providence since 199. Robert enjoyed singing and putting on a performance. Given his natural outgoing nature, Robert made his living in the banking industry in specifically the customer service division. His talent for problem solving and sense of humor served him well throughout a respected career.
Mr. Whitaker was raised Catholic and always kept in touch with his spiritual side. He loved his family and enjoyed relaxing, watching movies. His gentle and funny ways will be missed.
Robert Charles Whitaker, Jr. is survived by his beloved mother Bernice Whitaker of East Providence. He leaves behind his dear sisters, Laura Whitaker and Kristin Whitaker both of Rumford. He was the loving uncle of Lee G. Wilder of Rumford.
In accordance with Robert's wishes all services will be private. Arrangements are entrusted to the Charles Coelho Funeral Home of Central Falls.
