Mr. Todd Whitaker, Sr., age 66, peacefully transitioned to his Heavenly home in the comfort of his residence on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 12:00 noon. He was a native resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, and formerly lived in Houston, Texas. At the time of his passing, he was surrounded by the caregiving and deep love of his fiancé, Karen R. Fields, of Reserve, Louisiana, and his sister, Linda. He was born on April 30, 1959, the seventh and youngest child of his beloved and dedicated Mother, Mrs. Inez Haynes Paul Whitaker, who predeceased him. He was nurtured in a loving and happy home with his siblings, Lois, Linda, Valdiner, Kelly, Cathy, and Harry. Devoted Father of loving and dedicated children: Terrill T. Banks, Sr., (his Mother, Carlotta), NOLA; Todd Whitaker, Jr. (wife and his dad's daughter-in-Love, Faran Foy Whitaker), (his Mother, Lisa); Jessica and Joshua Paul Whitaker (their Mother, Tweet), all of Houston, Texas. Loving and Caring Grandfather of: Terrill Banks, Jr., NOLA, and Todd Whitaker, III ("Tre") and Madison ("Maddy"), Houston, Texas. Todd was a loving, kind, generous and Faith-Filled man who worshipped at First Agape Baptist Church, where he was Baptized by its Pastor, the Reverend Eddie M. Payne. He was also revered for his sweet, friendly, and humorous personality; and will be fondly and forever missed/remembered by all who were Blessed to know him. As the sole-owner of his Pest Control Company, "Rest in Peace", he served his clients with zeal, competence, dedication, and gratitude. Todd received his early education at Sylvanie F. Williams Elementary, James Derham, Jr. High and Booker T. Washington, Sr. High schools, Class of 1977. He received his professional training at Texas Southern University ("TSU") in Houston, Texas. We thank God for Blessing, Todd, Sr., with a full, happy, productive, prosperous life with good health -until he became ill. It was filled with the immeasurable joys from multi-generations of loving family members; life-long friendships; incredible "Dominoes" and Saints games/parties shared with his sons; Second- Line dancing, where he tremendously enjoyed playing his infamous "Tambourine "; Countless "Calliope Projects" and B.T.W. Reunion Celebrations; and his workdays at his beloved business, Rest-in - Peace Pest Control!! In addition to Todd Sr.'s Children, Grandchildren and their Parents, left behind to cherish his memories and legacy of mutual love and caring are the following: his loyal, truly devoted fiancé, long-term care giver and Whitaker family Friend, Karen R. Fields; and her children, Angel, Isaac, Jr. and Michael Fields, daughter-in-law, Anyee Fields and her grandchildren, Brooklynn Trawtick, Issac Fields, Jr. and Prince Fields. Todd other loved ones include: his other loving and long-term care-giver, his sister, Linda, and his other mutually -loved siblings, Kelly Whitaker, Cathy Stewart and Harry Whitaker ( 'Nette Banks); His Beloved "Mother-in-Love", whom he affectionately referred to as Bobbie, and her daughters, Lisa and Troy Lynn; his Brother-Friend, Anthony Banks and the Banks' relatives; life-long Family Friend, Mr. Albert ( Al) Matthew, and a host of loved nieces, nephews, church members, friends , cousins and customers. Todd was preceded in death by his beloved Mother and two sisters, Lois H. Payne (Justin) and Valdiner Whitaker; nephews, Ronald Whitaker, Sr. (Great) and Charles Payne (Great-Great); Aunts and Uncles, Hilda Dobson, Harry James Haynes, Jr. (the late Janie), Bernard Haynes (the late Dorothy), Henry Haynes (the late Ann) and Grandparents, Harry James Haynes, Sr. (the late Rosia)-all from Jeanerette, and Port Arthur, Tex.; and close Cousin, Charles Dobson. Invited to the Funeral Services for Todd Whitaker, Sr., are the following: Relatives and Friends of the Family, along with the Pastors, Officers, and Members of the First Agape Baptist Church (Pastor Eddie M. Payne), Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Moses Gordon, III), Mt. Rock Missionary Baptist Church (Pastor Bernard Dyer), Saints Community Church, Metairie, (Pastors Wayne and Kristi Northup), the Rev. Isaac Stewart, the Rev. Reginald Cummins (Rising Star MBC); Staff and Students at St. Alphonsus School (Principal, Sr. Monica); Employees of Angels Care of Reserve, LA ( Owner, Donice Rogers; Staff in the E.R., Oncology, Palliative Care Departments at UMC, Touro and New Orleans East Hospitals; APEX Hospice; and Acadian Ambulance Service at First Agape Baptist Church, 3219 Thalia St., NOLA 70125 on Saturday, August 2, 2025, for 10:00 a.m., Visitation begins at 9:00a.m. Pastor Eddie M.
