Robert “Ted” E. Wilbanks, 60, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home on August 15, 2025. A celebration of life, to include family and friends will be held at a later date.

Born in Manchester, Connecticut, on October 26, 1964, Ted graduated from Manchester High School and later attended Automotive and Diesel College in Denver, Colorado, where he specialized in Collision Repair and Paint. He spent more than 30 years working professionally in the automotive field and continued his passion as a hobby, restoring and repairing countless cars.

He was preceded in death by his son, Chance Wilbanks (2023). He is survived by his son, Nicholas Wilbanks; parents, Bobby and Sandra Wilbanks; siblings, Cherie Moore (Spencer) and Michael Wilbanks (Nadine); nieces and nephews, Kaelyn Brown (Matt), Leo Moore, Logan Wilbanks, and Liam Wilbanks; his aunt, Gale Jordan; cousins, Michelle Lombardo (Paul) and Kenn Lazzari; and his beloved “fur grandchildren,” Rex and Max.

Ted will be remembered for his generosity, his willingness to help anyone in need, and his lifelong passion for all things automotive. He will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who knew him.
