With hearts full of love and sorrow, we share the passing of Jeffrey L. Hardin, who left this world on August 17, 2025, in Fort Mill, SC, at the age of 64.
Born the second of six children, Jeff grew up surrounded by the bonds of family that would remain at the very center of his life. Nothing brought him greater joy or pride than being a father to his daughter, Yaoyao Hardin, and his son, Hagen Hardin. Together, they explored the country, creating memories filled with laughter, adventure, and love—treasures that will forever live in their hearts.
Jeff was a man of extraordinary talents, but it was his generous spirit that defined him. Whether fixing something that seemed beyond repair or offering a helping hand just when it was needed most, he lived to make life easier for those around him.
He will be remembered for his quick wit, playful sarcasm, and a laugh so contagious it could brighten any room. Jeff had a gift for storytelling—often breaking into laughter before he could even finish his own jokes—and an uncanny ability to make the ordinary feel joyful.
Jeff is survived by his beloved children, Yaoyao and Hagen; his father, Ed Hardin; his five siblings; and a large extended family of cousins and lifelong friends who loved him deeply.
Though his sudden passing has left us heartbroken, it is also a reflection of just how deeply he was cherished. His life was a testament to kindness, love, humor, and the power of connection. Jeff will be profoundly missed, but the warmth of his spirit will live on in all those who were blessed to know him.
A funeral mass will be held at Saint Phillip Neri Catholic Church, 292 Munn Road East, Fort Mill, SC 29715 on Friday, August 29th, 2025 at 11:30 am.
