Carol Seaman Kane, 89, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on May 20, 1936, in Glens Falls, New York, to the late Glen Seaman and Martha Bryant.

Carol shared 71 beautiful years of marriage with her devoted husband, Barry E. Kane. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and community.

A faithful Catholic, Carol was a devoted member of Saint Philip Neri Catholic Church, where she was active in the Wise Owls, the Reserve Bookworm Club, and served as a facilitator for the Small Christian Community group.

Her passion for gardening shined throughout her life. She was a former president of the Smithtown Garden Club and a proud board member of the 2nd District Federated Garden Club in New York State. Carol was also a talented watercolor artist whose creativity and love of beauty were evident in everything she touched.

Above all, Carol cherished her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Barry; her children, Steven Kane, Christopher Kane, and Catherine Kane Lee; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is predeceased by children Marilyn Kane Parker, Brian Kane and Kevin Kane.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Carol’s memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
