ROBERT P. WINTJEN
Robert P. Wintjen, 81, of Great Bend, PA passed away on June 2, 2024. He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Phyllis; also by his 4 children, Robert (Lynn) Wintjen Jr., Diana Delgroso, Debbie (John) Scheffey, and Matthew Wintjen; step children, Eric (Amy) Empett and Jennifer (Ronald) Engstrom; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Henry and Elizabeth Wintjen; his brother, Henry "Skip" Wintjen Jr.; two children, Russel Wintjen and Donna Shields.
Bob predicted he would be working in Real Estate until he died and followed through on that prediction working for Exit Realty Front and Center, Binghamton, NY. He was a member of Future Farmers of America and owned a farm in his younger years. Bob was a commercial truck driver for a number of years, prior to his realty career. He accompanied his son on numerous Boy Scout trips and events. Bob was content with his life and home and always had a solution to any mechanical issue. He had a great sense of humor, a quick wit, and enjoyed fishing. Bob was an excellent husband, and always willing to help others with any problem. He was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 7, 2024 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
