Robert "Bobby" Woods

Mr. Robert "Bobby" Woods was born, June 30, 1954 in Kaliopi, Kentucky the son of Ruby Lee Sandlin Woods and the late, Dan Woods. He passed away Friday, April 12, 2024 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, KY. He was 69 years old. Bobby had been a life long resident of Leslie County. By occupation he was a mason and logger. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, hiking, finding dryland fish and arrowheads and just being outdoors. 

Bobby was preceded in death by his beloved father, Dan Woods, cherished daughter, Rebecca Leigh Woods, sister, Florence Fleming, brother-in-law, Bobby Joe Osborne and great niece, Christine McLellan.

 He leaves the following relatives surviving: beloved mother, Ruby Woods, Hyden, KY, cherished sons, Robert Daniel Woods & Shoba, London, KY and Brian Scott Woods, Hyden, KY, mother of children, Brenda Gibson Jones, London, KY, sister, Bonnie Lee Osborne, Hyden, KY, treasured grandson, Quentin Alexander Woods,nieces, Georgia Melton and Tricia Fleming McLellan, nephews, Kierce Jones and Jerry Osborne, great nieces, Rachael McLellan, Robin Herald, Cierra Sandoval, Ashley Gregory and Cheyenne King, great nephews, Jered Melton and Desmond Sandoval and a host of other relatives & friends survive.

Funeral: Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home, Hyden, KY
Minister: Virgil Gibson 
Interment: Woods Family Cemetery
Visitation: Thurs. April 18th at 12:00 noon at the funeral home chapel
