Robert Woods Wright passed peacefully at home on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the age of 90. Robert was a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee. He will be remembered by those who knew him as a loving, Christian, loyal father, leader, and friend. He was a faithful member of the Central Church of Christ. Robert was one of the founders of Wright Brothers Construction Company. In 1961, he and his brother borrowed a bulldozer from their father and started working for local farmers. Robert will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stephen (Lou Ann) Wright, Cindy Freeman, Audrey (Kevin) Dunnebacke, and Penny (Paul) Ragland. He will be forever loved by his grandchildren, Mary (Lukas) Salyer, Ashley (Jeff) Gerald, Jennifer (Eric) Cavett, Joshua McElhiney, Rob Wright, Peyton McElhiney, Kayla West, Kyle West, Allison (Rob) Burchfield, Andrew Ragland and several great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his sister, Mary Ann Price, and brother-in-law, Kenneth (Myra) McBee.
Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife of 65 years, Barbara; his parents were Garland and Mary Wright, brother James D. Wright, and his sister-in-law Anne Wright.
