Robert Lee Yount, 76, passed away on December 7, 2025, in Battlefield, Missouri. Born on May 24, 1949, in
Covina, California, Bob lived a life marked by hard work, deep faith, and a boundless enthusiasm for connecting with others.
Bob spent most of his professional life in construction. For the first 25 years of his career, he worked alongside his father and brother in asphalt construction-a partnership that laid the foundation for his lifelong dedication to building and creating.
Later in life, Bob earned a bachelor's degree from Missouri State University in 1997, a testament to his enduring commitment to personal growth and learning.
A man of vision and ambition, Bob was known for his entrepreneurial spirit. He was a constant dreamer with countless business ideas, always driven by the desire to help others through his ventures. His larger-than-life personality made him unforgettable to those who crossed his path-Bob never met a stranger. He had an infectious love for storytelling and delighted in making people laugh.
Bob proudly served in the National Guard for six years. He also took great pride in his high school basketball career, often reflecting on those formative years with joy and nostalgia.
Outside of work and service, Bob found joy in the outdoors and sports. He especially loved fishing-opening day of trout season at Roaring River was a cherished tradition.
Faith played a central role in Bob's life. He was baptized at Cornerstone Church in 1994 and left behind a heartfelt reminder: "Just remember to keep Jesus first in your life and all the other stuff will fall into place." His favorite Bible verse was Isaiah 40:30–31: "They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not be faint."
Bob deeply loved his family and friends. He is remembered by his Aunts, Mary Perkins and Anna Taylor, his daughter Michele and her husband Jodie Sparks, Kevin Yount (son) and wife Karlee, Aaron Yount (son) and wife Liz, 10 grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy, as well as his nieces and nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Opal Yount, his brother Gary Yount and an infant son, Jason Robert Yount.
May Robert Lee Yount's memory bring comfort to those who knew him and continue to inspire lives rooted in faith, laughter, love, and purpose.
