Roberta Beutel, age 89, of Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey -- formerly of Minneapolis, MN, Wilmington, DE, and Buffalo Grove, IL -- passed away October 7, 2025. Preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Beutel; her son, Mitchell Beutel; her parents, Ned and Beatrice Reich; and her brother, Michael Reich. Survived by her sons, Phillip (Patti) and Bruce (Sandra); her grandchildren, Caryn Martin (Josh), Rachel Beutel, Alexander Beutel (Jessica Lichter), Stephen Beutel (Jamie), Benjamin Beutel, Joseph Beutel, and Beatrice Tilly Beutel (Jack Tilly); and great-grandsons, Jacob Beutel and Mitchell Martin; siblings, Charles Reich (Nancy), Larry Reich (Marilyn), Dee Mann (Gerald); sister-in-law, Arlene Reich. Roberta "Bobbie" was born in Minneapolis, MN in 1936. She grew up on the north side and, after graduating high school, worked as a soprano soloist and as a teller at a local bank. She then met and married the love of her life, Jacob Beutel, with whom she lovingly raised her three sons, following and supporting his career with moves around the country. Throughout the years, she was very active in community service, volunteering at Hadassah, at Temple Beth Emeth in Wilmington, DE, local literacy programs, and also working as head teller at the Bank of Delaware. At Beth Emeth, she chaired the caring committee and expanded its outreach in providing support to elderly congregants and connecting them with temple youth. It became a model for similar groups around the country. Funeral service 10:30 am, SUNDAY, October 12, 2025, ADATH YESHURUN CEMETERY CHAPEL, 5605 France Ave. So., Edina.
