Roberta Lyn Wardleigh "Bobbi" peacefully passed away on August 1, 2024, surrounded by family and friends.
Bobbi was born June 16, 1962, to Robert W. and Darlene Hasen Wardleigh. She graduated from Roy High School and attended Utah State University. Bobbi married Sandra Higley on December 26, 2013, after being longtime friends.
After her time at Utah State University, Bobbi returned home where she worked her way up the ladder in a man’s dominant field where she succeeded running several food establishments before moving to Hawaii and landing her dream job at One Kalakaua Senior Living.
Bobbi loved anything to do with water including snorkeling, body surfing and swimming. She loved her big dogs and especially playing with her four-legged kids, camping, reading, and movies (“good ones”). Two of her favorite places were Disneyland and Hawaii. Bobbi loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her nieces and nephews.
Bobbi was a best friend, smart, funny, had the biggest heart, and was always straight to the point. To say Bobbi was a hard worker is an understatement. She also loved cooking and was an excellent chef and an even better teacher.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff at McKay Dee Hospital ICU for the compassionate care given to Bobbi and her family and friends during this difficult time.
Bobbi is survived by her wife, Sandra Higley; brothers, Rodney (Cheryl) Thompson, Richard (Janis) Wardleigh, and Robert (Cheri) Wardleigh; and sisters, Debbie Augustine and Diane (Allen) George. She was preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother, Rodger Wardleigh.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 11 a.m. at Hooper City Cemetery, 5290 S. 6300 W., Hooper, UT, 84315. Friends may visit with family on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S.
In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations toward the medical bills that Bobbi incurred to any Key Bank under Bobbi's memorial account 448621311944.
