Roberta Grotto Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home on Jun. 13, 2025.
Roberta Lee (McLean) Grotto, age 76, of Marinette, passed away peacefully at home on June 12, 2025. She was born on December 2, 1948, in Marinette to the late Robert and Lydia (Williams) McLean.
Roberta grew up in Marinette, and was a graduate of Marinette High School, Class of 1967. She remained a lifelong resident of the area, and on November 11, 1988, she married Dan Grotto, and together they shared many cherished years.
Roberta worked for many years as a bookkeeper, first at Mickey-Lu's and later at Shopko Pharmacy. She also spent time working at Mike and Jean's, where she was known for her lighthearted spirit and her ever-changing collection of T-shirts-one for every shift.
Roberta had a contagious laugh and a heart devoted to her family. She found joy in spending time with her children and her sisters, and also enjoyed shopping, and watching her favorite soap operas. She loved dancing at Little Nugget and reading books by James Patterson.
Roberta is survived by her husband, Dan; sons, Peter Schnoor and Paul (Erin) Schnoor; sisters, Regina Roeder, Roxanne McLean, and Robin Westbrook. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Robert Huebner; and a sister, Rebecca.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at Hansen-Onion-Martell Funeral Home, from 1 until 2 p.m. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Glenwood Memorial Gardens.
Roberta's family would like to thank Unity Hospice, and especially nurse Sarah, for their wonderful care.
