Roberta "Bert" C. LeMasters Seepe
Dearly beloved Bert Seepe, age 95, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, October 3, 2025. She was the amazing backbone of the Seepe family – although we did not understand how much that was true until after John's passing.
She was born on September 2, 1930 as Roberta LeMasters. She married the love of her life, next to Jesus, John Seepe on October 13, 1956. They shared 66+ years of marriage until Dad's passing in 2022. Their union produced four surviving children: Katherine (Kathy) (Joe) Daniels, Linda Broach, John (Michelle) Seepe, and Drs Michael (Carolyn Sue) Seepe. Her beloved grandchildren include Joe (Emily) Daniels, Phillip (Phuong) Daniels, Heather (Luke) Kohne, David (Amber) Broach, Valerie (Kenny) Lim, Daniel (Cheyanne) Seepe, Andrew (Audrey) Seepe, Michaela (TJ Barrentine) Seepe, Katherine (Kat) (Killian) Nau, and John (Gwen Martin) Seepe. Bert has 19 great grandchildren, many of which she was blessed to meet shortly before her passing. She intensely loved her offspring and had special nicknames and memories she shared with them. She wanted to let each of them know that they were very loved and appreciated.
She was an intense enigma with many talents and interests. Bert shared a love of travel with John. Their trips included visits to Australia, Russia, Europe, Alaska, and almost all of the 50 US states except for Hawaii. Together they square and round danced their way around the world. She encouraged others to travel. When two of her children had a recent trip scheduled to Italy even though she was ill, she admonished them. "Go to Italy! You cannot go any younger and if you wait, you do not know what the future holds!" Her creative talents and interests included sewing, knitting, card making, jewelry and candy making, painting, music, Bible study, and reading. She played piano, organ, harmonica, clarinet, bari and alto saxophone, handbells, and the accordion. She loved to worship through music.
Her keen sense of wit was seen when she wanted to know why she had not been feeling well. When told she had a terminal cancer diagnosis, she immediately said. "Well, that is a death sentence! Give me a bucket and I will kick it!" She was highly active physically and mentally, never giving up her zest for life and competitive nature. Her smile lit up any room and she enjoyed making others laugh. She could be the life of the party or support others from the background.
She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1953 and maintained her license until she was 80. Her skills assisted family, friends, and people she met to survive and thrive.
Our family wishes to express our deepest appreciation for the loving care my parents and we ourselves received from the staff of St Mary's Asbury Ridge. She felt so loved and never failed to express her pleasure at residing there for almost 7 years.
A Celebration of Her Life is scheduled for October 31, 2025, at Grace McKean on 7300 Grubb Rd. Calling hours are from
1-4 PM with the Celebration immediately following at 4 PM. Dusckas Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. is coordinating the arrangements.
