Mary Ann DePalma Hogg
Mary Ann DePalma Hogg, CPA, age 64, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025 after a long illness.
Mary was born in Jeannette, PA on August 4, 1961 to Vincent and Evalyn DePalma. Mary was a graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic High School and Slippery Rock University.
A resident of Erie since 1985, Mary had a tax and bookkeeping practice and was the Controller of several local automobile dealerships.
Mary is survived by her beloved daughter Kathleen and Kathleen's fiancée Joe Heidelberg, Mary's long-time companion Kirk Kelly, sister Kathy and her husband Tony Trigona, sisters Linda Altman and Diane Angstadt, and many nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers Vincent and David, and by her nephew Jeffrey Trigona.
For their kindness and compassion, the family would like to thank the healthcare teams that participated in her care over the years including longtime primary care physician Dr. Carvelli, Bayfront Digestive, especially Maria and Dr. Klinge, and Hillman Cancer Center, especially Dr. Seastone. Family would also like to thank Hamot hospitalists Drs Shanahan, Maciak, Kuehn, and Heyd as well as the wonderful staff (too many to name) of 7 South for their care during recent hospitalizations. Finally for their guidance and care in her last weeks, family thanks UPMC Montefiore especially palliative NP Donna Durant, and Family Hospice UPMC Lawrenceville.
Mary enjoyed card games, spending time with friends and family, agility training with her dogs, and spur of the moment road trips.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Road, Erie, PA 16506, on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2-5 p.m.
Recognizing Mary's love of animals, memorial gifts can be made to the Erie Humane Society, 2407 Zimmerly Road, Erie, PA 16508.
