Leslie Kessler

Loving husband, father, and Papa, Leslie Kent Kessler, age 80, of Erie, PA, passed away on Monday, October 6, 2025. Better known as Kent to most, he was born during a snowstorm on December 27, 1944, in Brookville, PA, the son of the late Isaac and Doris Kessler.
Kent was a graduate of Clarion-Limestone High School. He began his career at Erie General Electric as a machinist apprentice right out of high school. After more than 38 years of service and numerous positions, he retired in 2000 as the Business Leader of Quality, Facilities, and Electronic Unit Exchange in the Control Center of Excellence.
Kent was introduced into the Masonic Fraternity when initiated into North East Lodge #399 of Free and Accepted Masons in 1975 and became Worshipful Master in 1979.
He enjoyed spending his free time with his motorcycles and Mustangs and was a diehard snowmobile enthusiast. Many hours were spent enjoying and supporting the winter sport with his family and friends. He actively promoted snowmobiling through local, regional, and state organizations, and in 2011, he was honored as Pennsylvania Snowmobiler of the Year.
In addition to his parents, Kent was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Gail Lea Kessler; his son, Korey Jason Kessler; his older brother, Gary McKinley Kessler; and his sister, Judy Elaine Adams.
He is survived by three sons: Eric Kent Kessler and wife Christina, and Kyle Mathew Kessler and wife Linda, all of Erie; and Kristopher Luke Kessler of Annapolis, MD. He is also survived by three cherished grandchildren-Isaac, Jacob, and Michaela-and three great-grandchildren: Delilah, Marley, and Bruce Jr., born to Michaela and her husband, Bruce Dunn of State College, PA.
Friends may call at Dusckas Funeral & Cremation Services Harborcreek, 5151 Buffalo Road, on Thursday, October 16th from 5 PM until the time of the Masonic Service there at 7 PM. A private interment will be held at Roseville-Bethel Cemetery in Union Township, Jefferson County, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Almoner's Fund of the North East Lodge No. 399, 27 South Lake Street, North East, PA 16428.
