Aldine Smith Hecker, age 100, of Millcreek Twp., passed away on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
She was born in Reynoldsville, PA, on July 18, 1925, the daughter of the late Israel and Mae Lingenfelter Smith.
She was employed at the Erie Resistor Co. and later owned and operated her own beauty salon.
She was a member of the Erie Church of Christ.
Aldine enjoyed cooking and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband William B. Hecker, one daughter Lori Cleary, six brothers, four sisters, one daughter-in-law, Margie McCracken, and two step daughters; Nancy Ervin and Peggy Ellis.
She is survived by one daughter Darlene F. Keberle of Erie, two sons; Dennis R. McCraken of FL, Randy McCraken (Sharon) of Erie, one step daughter; Cheryl Srmikian, one step son Paul Hecker (Kathy) of IN, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., 4216 Sterrettania Rd. on Monday, October 13, 2025 from 3 pm until 7 pm. The Funeral Service will be held there on Tuesday, October 14, 2025 at 11:00 am. Private interment Wattsburg Cemetery.
