Roberta Ann Nance, 71 of Indianapolis, Indiana passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at IU West Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born February 7, 1953, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Robert F. Turner, Jr., and Margaret G. Turner. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Turner.
     A graduate of the University of Evansville with a BS in Nursing, she worked in many areas including Obstetrics, Geriatrics and retired in Pediatrics in 2023. She is survived by her husband of forty-eight years, Michael D. Nance, daughter Becky (Courtney Harwell) Nance, and son Corey (Jennifer) Nance of Indianapolis, Indiana; grandchildren, Ryleigh, Evangeline, Jameson, and Zariyah; sister, Mary Katherine (Gary) Dempsey of Smyrna, Tennessee; nieces Reagan Dempsey, Alison (Brad) Bynum and nephew, Kyle (Claire) Dempsey; five great nieces and nephews, Norah, Charlotte,
Ellis, Jones and Mary Clarke.
     Funeral services will be held at Speedway United Methodist Church Saturday, June 1st at 2 pm. Burial will follow at West Ridge Park Cemetery in Indianapolis. Visitation will be at Flanner-Buchanan - Speedway Friday, May 31st from 3 – 8 pm and Saturday 12:00 – 1:30 pm at Speedway United Methodist Church prior to the service.
     Pallbearers: Gary Dempsey, Corey Nance, Courtney Harwell, Kyle Dempsey, Tommy Grant, Aaron Baumhofer, Rodney Braden, and Mike Johnson.
     In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the MSD of Wayne Township Education Center HOSTS Program, Attn: Amy Eaton, 1220 South High School Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46241 or to the charity of your choice that supports children with special needs in Roberta’s memory. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
