Roberta Maxine Tabor, 78, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2025, at the Live Oak Nursing Center in George West.
Roberta was born May 20, 1946, in Edcouch Elsa to Garland Ransom Tabor and Leota Mae (Preble) Tabor. She was of the Baptist faith and her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She delighted her loved ones with her cooking, ensuring that family gatherings were always filled with delicious meals and laughter and don’t forget the biscuits. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed gardening as well as hunting and fishing. As a talented seamstress, she manifested her love through creativity by making her daughter's prom dresses and the school’s drill team uniforms, showcasing her dedication and skill in every stitch.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Garland and Leota Tabor; and her siblings, Rosalea Henicke, Norman Wayne Tabor and Garland “Butch” Eugene Tabor.
Survivors include her daughter, Connie (John) Trask; a son, Scott (Michelle) Mutina; four grandchildren, JW Trask, Casey (Allison) Trask, Megan Mutina and Cody (Emma) Mutina; eight great-grandchildren, Noah Mutina, Harleigh Mutina, Cora Trask, Grayson Trask, Daphne Trask, Ava Trask, Beau Mutina and Hayes Mutina; and her siblings, Elbert Tabor, Frank Tabor, Jane McCleney, Shirley Galchik and Donald Tabor. She was also blessed with an abundance of wonderful nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews whom she loved dearly.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 8, at Galloway & Sons Funeral Home in Beeville followed by a memorial service at 2 o’clock with Pastor Tim Stowe officiating.
