Roberta West-Randle, 49, of Frisco, Texas, formerly of Fort Wayne, Indiana, passed away on August 15, 2025, in Sumter, South Carolina. Born on April 15, 1976, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Roberta was the daughter of Robert Floyd West Sr. and Emma L. Dorsey. She graduated from Wayne High School in 1994 and later joined the United States Army in 1997, where she served as a Unit Supply/Logistics Specialist. During her time in the Army, she was awarded the Humanitarian Service Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, Marksman Marksmanship Qualification Badges in both rifle and grenade, along with many other accolades. It was in the Army that Roberta met the love of her life, Michael A. Randle. They married on February 14, 1998, and spent 17 wonderful years together until his untimely passing on August 5, 2015. Roberta was deeply committed to education. She earned her Associate's Degree in General Studies with an emphasis on Engineering from Central Texas College in 2005. She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Science, with a minor in Business Administration, from Tarleton State University in 2008. Her pursuit of knowledge didn't stop there-Roberta went on to earn her Master's Degree in Computer Science. Roberta channeled her passion for technology into a successful career in IT, working for various companies, including Tarleton State University as a CIT/Field Tech, Volt as a Support Tech Specialist, NCI Inc, Paradigm Technology as an IT Field Auditor, Harvest Time Redeeming Ministries Business Center, and the 20th Civil Engineer Squadron at Shaw Air Force Base. While working with the Harvest Time Redeeming Ministries Business Center in Colorado, she was inspired to pursue entrepreneurship. She founded "Randle PC Networks," which became one of her greatest accomplishments. In 2011 and 2018, Roberta had the honor of working at Shaw Air Force Base as an Assistant Systems Administrator and later as a Information Technology (IT) Service Manager and Information Systems Security Manager ( ISSM) as well as uno cial counselor for the squadron -roles she excelled in, using her skills to serve others. Despite her impressive professional achievements, Roberta always considered her most important role to be that of a wife and mother. The love she had for her family was immeasurable, and she cherished those relationships deeply. Outside of work, Roberta was a passionate and adventurous soul. She loved to travel, shop, and connect with people through the organizations she cherished. She held a special place in her heart for groups like DIVA WOW and the Network of Business Women, proudly representing them with joy and dedication. Her adventurous spirit and warm presence touched everyone who knew her. Roberta is survived by her children, Dominique, Desai, and Micah Randle, all of Frisco, Texas; her sister, LaToya West, of Frisco, Texas; her brothers, Joseph I. Dorsey of Richardson, Texas, Michael West of Denver, Colorado, and Charles Ross of Silver Spring, Maryland; her father, Robert West Sr., of Denver, Colorado; and her stepmother, Tanis West, of Denver, Colorado. She is also survived by her mother, Emma L. Dorsey, of Frisco, Texas; a host of close friends, family members, in-laws, and other loved ones, including a sister-in-love, brother-in-love, father-in-love, and mother-in-love.
