Roberto G. De Guzman Jr.

Roberto G. De Guzman, Jr., 58, of Suffolk, Va passed away surrounded by family on August 28, 2025. He is preceded in death by his biological mother, Amelita G. De Guzman; sisters, Twinkle De Guzman and Denise Hubbard.

Roberto proudly served in the U.S. Army for eight years before continuing his dedication to his country through his work with the Department of Defense. A devoted husband and father, Roberto always put others before himself. His laid-back personality and love for joking brought warmth and laughter to those around him. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn D. De Guzman; sons, Noah and Jeremy De Guzman; sisters, Rose Conn (Mike), Sandy Howell (Jeremy), and Cindy Smith; brothers, Ronnie De Guzman (Gemma) and Joe Agbo (Cathy); parents, Roberto and Marie De Guzman; nieces and nephews, Tristen De Guzman (Asia Farmer), Jesamae De Guzman, Haley Simpson (Joe), Courtney Glover, Kristin Glover (Emmett), Lesiley Tingler (Matt), Laura Baldwin (Jeremy), Joey Agbo (Ciera) and Kyra Agbo; as well as many extended family and friends.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 3PM at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Downtown Suffolk Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Projects. Condolences may be registered at RWBakerFH.com.
