It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Roberto Elías Hernandez Narvaes, who was born on March 10, 1948, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, to Pablo and Maxima Hernandez.
Roberto was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and great-grandfather. He lived a life guided by faith, humility, and unwavering dedication to his family. After earning his degree in accounting in Mexico, he and his family moved to Texas in the mid-1980s, first to Giddings and eventually settling in Austin.
He shared a beautiful life with his beloved wife, Maria Hernandez, and together they raised two children: Carlos Hernandez (wife Ashley Villela) and Mariza Hernandez. Roberto worked nearly ten years at Sheplers Western Wear in Austin, followed by six years at Covert Ford. He was admired for his honesty, hard work, and kind heart.
Roberto's greatest joy came from his family. He was a proud grandfather to Amanda, Ashley, Athena, Alisha, Aubrey, and Daniel, and a cherished great-grandfather to eight great-grandchildren. His love for them was profound and unconditional.
He entered eternal rest on March 31, 2025, surrounded by love and peace.
"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want." – Psalm 23:1
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
