Robin Burchfield Obituary

Robin Denise Burchfield Robin Denise Burchfield, born on December 31, 1956, ran into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sunday June 9, 2024. Robin was born in Maryville, graduated from Everett High School and the University of Tennessee. Robin taught school in the Blount County and Maryville school systems for forty-four years. Robin was preceded in death by her mother, Frances Myers; grandparents, Pete and Glenise Fagg and Thelma and Bill Shinpaugh. Robin is survived by her devoted family: husband of forty-two years, Gary Burchfield; son and daughter in law, Brandon and Shala Burchfield; grandson, Camden Burchfield; father, Henry Myers; mother in law, Verna Burchfield; brother, Ricky Myers; and brother in law, Rick Burchfield. A service for family and friends will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at Grandview Pavilion. In lieu of flowers, Robin requested all donations be made to ALS Associations or First Baptist Church of Maryville. Robin also requested that we all take time to love God and to love others.

Hello friends, I just wanted to thank you for all your prayers, support and love since my diagnosis. I always knew and thanked God daily for the blessed life I lived. God blessed me with a loving family, caring friends and a job I loved; however, I never knew how truly blessed I was until my illness, and I was able to see God at work through my family, my former classmates, former students, former coworkers, my loving and caring friends, my Aubrey's friends, my Hardee's friends and my amazing First Baptist Church family. All of you served as God's hands and feet and made me feel loved and cared for. Thank you, I love you all. I know we will be together one day in our forever home.

Love,

Robin

I have never met anyone as thorough and precise as Robin. She was a fantastic teacher, colleague, and friend.

Robin and I met in first grade and we graduated together. We had many sleepovers growing up and I always love her sweet, sweet heart.

Watching Robin play basketball for Everett High School. She graduated the year before me and I always thought she was a great athlete. She taught English to both of my girls at MHS, Brandi & Alicia both say she was a hard teacher but they both learned so much from her. So sorry to hear she is no longer with us but I´m sure heaven has gained an angel and she will be missed.
