For as long as I can remember, I knew she was out there - somewhere. When Robin was a little more than two-years old our mother gave birth to me and put me up for adoption. Over the years, I made several attempts to find Robin and Mom. For more than 30 years that pursuit continued. I finally made contact with Robin in what I can only described as Divine intervention. Through a string of events and conversations over the 30 years of my pursuit, I finally received the text message that changed my life; it read "OMG we found you!" Soon after that message I nervously walked into the facility Robin was at and met my sister, Robin Lynn Ingles. There was an immediate bond with Robin that grew over the 16 months we had together.

After only a couple months of visits we almost lost Robin, however, she regained strength and we were given a chance to talk, and share, and laugh, and even cry. We watched Red Wings games, Tigers games, and I would bring her whatever food she wanted. I also became a regular at the Dairy Queen because Robin wanted a raspberry malt shake and they were willing to make this special item that was not on the menu. During those precious months I experienced my fabulous sister. She could make me laugh with just a look in her eyes. She was kind, patient, grateful, and forgiving. We shared our similar quirks, always laughing at the absurdity of sleeping with our bare feet sticking out of the covers, even in the winter! DNA is a powerful thing, and we shared three handfuls. As I get older I find comfort in contentment. My time with Robin, while short by many measures, satiated a lifetime of longing to know her.

Robin, I love you, and I will miss you.

P.S. Please bring Mom when I see you again.

Where to begin. I knew Ms.Robin for many years. I´d say for most of my life. She was an incredible woman. No matter what kind of day she was having she always had a smile on her face. Anytime we were on the softball field she was always there rooting us on and making sure everyone had everything they needed. She was the kind of person who would go above and beyond for anyone as long as she could. Ms.Robin is someone who I will deeply miss and who I cherished dearly. Thank you for all you did for me, for every home cooked meal, for always letting me have a place to stay when I needed one and for always having open arms when I needed a hug. I will love you forever Ms.Robin.

I only met Robin once, but when I did she was such a joy to be around. She told us stories about her girls and husband. We watch birds together and just sat and talked for a while. She was a pleasure to be around. She was definitely a one of a kind wonderful person.

Eulogy of Robin Lynne Ingles

Hello I am Lindsey Ingles the youngest daughter of Robin Lynne Ingles. My mother would be very pleased and grateful to know how deeply saddened yet relieved we are to know she does not have to struggle any longer. Throughout her entire life even with all the challenges thrown her way she had kept the most positive attitude of anyone I have known. She was always putting others before herself, even when she was struggling she never failed to make sure everyone around her was good. I am forever grateful for all the prayers she received and people she had to look over her.

My mother grew up here in Algonac with her mother Patti and stepfather Gene, as a child she loved playing sports and swimming with her many friends. She went to Algonac High School and graduated in 1981, where she met my father. She married her best friend Jeffery Allen Ingles on December 20, 1986 at the Algonac Trinity Methodist Church. Together they had my older sister Samantha Ann Ingles in February of 2001, and I followed soon after in February of 2004. My mother´s love of sports carried on to my sister and I as she loved to watch us play softball and be our biggest cheerleader from behind the fence.

Some of my best memories of my mom were in her final years, as I have grown older I have been able to see another side of her, and relate to her in a way I have never been able to before. I had watched my mother struggle with many things for as long as I can remember and she had plenty of reasons to be down, but instead she never failed to find joy in all the small things in life, all the birds who would come and land on her feeder, a call from a friend or family member, and getting to see her dogs when we would come out.

Momma we love you more than you´ll ever know, although we will continue to miss you we know you are at peace with God and surrounded by those who love you dearly.
