Robin "Rob" Lee Lowe

Robin "Rob" Lee Lowe, 64, of Havelock, passed away on February 9, 2023, at his residence.

A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 11th at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service.

Robin better known as "Rob" was born in Jacksonville, North Carolina, to the late Ronald and Patricia Lowe.  He proudly served in the U.S. Army where he learned how to be a Master Chef. Rob loved cooking and he cooked for many years as a cook for the Louisiana Off Shore Oil Company where he treated everyone like they were royalty.  He later left them and enjoyed working in construction, building with wood, steel, or concrete and was in the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.  One of his passions and love was hunting and especially fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, Jill Matilus (Tony) of Bloomington, IN; sister, Virginia "Ginny" Lowe (Michael) of Kinston; brothers, Ronald Lowe, Jr. of Kinston, and David Lowe (Lisa) of Taylorsville, NC; grandchildren, Asher Matilus, Meadow Matilus, Ella Kate Matilus; and nephews, Eugen Lowe and Stefan Lowe.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the NC Wildlife Resources, 1701 Mail Service Center, Raleigh, NC  27699-1700.
