It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Robin Onstot on March 8th, 2023, at the age of 65. Robin was a beloved resident of Norwalk.
Robin was born in Des Moines to Shirley and Bob Reichenbacker and was the oldest of her three siblings. She often spoke fondly of the adventures they shared exploring Valley Junction as children.
After graduating from Norwalk, Robin moved to Arizona and her mother, father, sister and brother-in-law soon followed. She returned to Norwalk and married Gary Onstot, her high school sweetheart. Robin and Gary shared many happy moments together and often reminisced about their teenage years and their travels to Mexico with friends.
Robin's spirit and laughter was contagious. She lived in the moment and could always be counted on to turn up the music and have a good time. Her home was a reflection of her personality - warm, inviting, and beautifully decorated with her eye for design. Robin was particularly proud of her gorgeous flower arrangements that bloomed all summer long and welcomed visitors into her home.
She was a caring wife, mother, and grandmother, and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of nearly 30 years, Gary Onstot, her sister Kelli (Jon) Jones, her children, Chad (Jessie) Leeper, Jill Skinner, and Jason (Janelle) Onstot. Her grandchildren Lucy and Logan Leeper, Izabella and Landon Skinner, and Jaxon and Jocelyn Onstot. She was preceded in death by her mother and father Shirley and Bob Reichenbacker, her brother Robert, and her sister Kim Schneider.
A service to celebrate Robin's life will be held on Monday, March 20th at 6:00 pm at Iles Norwalk Chapel in Norwalk. Robin will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
