Robin L Schweizer

WANATAH – Robin L. Schweizer of Wanatah passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 26, 2023 at Symphony of Chesterton following an illness. He was born on April 1, 1956 in LaPorte to the late Gerald "Jerry" Schweizer and Carla "Connie" (Younggreen) Powers, and was 66 years old at the time of his death.
He lived in the area his entire life and graduated from South Central High School in 1974. He was a retired Cement Mason with the Cement Masons Union Local #692 and was a hard- working, fun-loving man. He also enjoyed fishing and trapping, as well as collecting coins.
Robin is survived by three children Jerrilynn (Jake) Wade of Union Mills, Tobby (Jenifer) Schweizer of Rolling Prairie, and Brandun (Amy) Schweizer of Danville, IL; ten grandchildren Kourtney Delgado, Lexy, Pipar, Tatum, and Harper Wade – Tayler and Colton Schweizer – and Roman, Preston, and Deacon Schweizer; one great grandson Maverick Neary; seven siblings Jerry (Rob) Donat) Schweizer of Largo, FL, Lisa (Terry) Calkins of LaPorte, Tom (Cheryl) Schweizer of New Carlisle, Tim (Deanna) Schweizer of LaPorte, Teresa (Rod) Bartrug of Atlanta, GA, Patricia Nelson of LaPorte, and Stanley (Carol) Powers of New York; and his step-mother Roberta Schweizer of Columbus, GA. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-father Grover Powers, and one brother-in-law Dave Nelson.
There will be a Celebration of Life Gathering of family and friends from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM CDT Sunday, April 2, 2023 at the Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Cremation has taken place and there is no burial planned at this time.
