Cary R. Jensen

Cary R. Jensen, 60, of Grovertown, Indiana, passed away on December 30, 2025, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka.

He was born on July 3, 1965, in Plymouth, Indiana, to Rae "Snuffy" Jensen and Linda (Anglemyer) Jensen. On January 9, 1992, in Hamlet, Indiana, Cary married the love of his life, Phyllis (Baker) Jensen, who survives.

Cary was a skilled mechanic and worked for many years at the Starke County Highway Department, where he was known for his strong work ethic and mechanical knowledge. A true "car guy," Cary loved anything with a motor and took pride in working on and talking about vehicles of all kinds.

Above all else, Cary loved and cherished his family dearly. He especially enjoyed watching his grandson, Jasper, play soccer and treasured the time spent with his loved ones. Cary also enjoyed vacationing with his family in Davenport, Florida, creating memories that will be forever held close.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Jensen; two children, Ryan Jensen and Avery (Allison) Jensen; one grandson, Jasper Jensen; his mother, Linda Jensen; one sister, Lynn Jensen; and one brother, Curt (Michelle) Jensen.

He was preceded in death by his father, Rae "Snuffy" Jensen.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. CST at Rannells Funeral Home, Hamlet Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. CST, also at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at Fletcher Cemetery immediately following the service.
