Rocky Joseph DePauw

Rocky Joseph DePauw, age 63, of Marion, IL, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at his home.
He was born on March 2, 1962, in Perryville, MO, to James Leroy and Verna Jean (Lawrence) DePauw.
Rocky attended school in Marion and was a graduate of Marion High School Class of 1980.
Rocky worked as a truck driver for his entire working career. He worked for several companies including David White Trucking, Star Transport of Morton, IL, Tom Via Trucking, Thomason Transport, TKM Trucking, Odum Concrete and most recently for Republic Services.
In his spare time, Rocky was an avid waterfowl hunter and enjoyed fishing. Earlier in his lifetime, he enjoyed playing baseball and softball. During his high school years, he was a pitcher on the Marion High School Baseball Team. He also enjoyed spending time with his Silver Labrador Retriever, Sable. Rocky was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Marion.
He is survived by his daughter, Amanda Duke, and her fiancé, Kody Reichert, of Olmsted, IL; his mother, Verna J. DePauw of Marion, IL; four grandchildren, Baylee Webb of Grand Tower, IL, Trey Vaughn and wife, Skye, of Vienna, IL, Kaden Vaughn of Vienna, IL and Ella Duke of Olmsted, IL; great grandson, Kamden Webb; three sisters, Jamie Rickert and husband, Kirk, of Lake of Egypt, IL, Kerry Crain and husband, Mike, of Leesburg, FL and Julie Rankin and husband, Brad, of Mt. Vernon, IL; brother, Todd DePauw and wife, Tena, of Johnston City, IL; and several other extended family members and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL.
The visitation will be at Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m.
Following the time of visitation, the funeral service will be at the funeral home at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Kevin McNeely and Father Brian Barker presiding.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to "Hospice of Southern Illinois." Envelopes will be available during the visitation or may be mailed c/o Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home, 900 North Court Street, Marion, IL 62959.
