Rocky D. Parks, 64, of East Peoria passed away Wednesday, August 27th 2025 at his home.

He was born October 8th, 1960 in Pekin to Bruce D. and Judith Ann (Dunker) Parks. He married Ruth A. DeBolt in Manito on October 10th, 1992. She survives.

Also surviving are his step-mother, Lora Parks; five children, Rachel Weddel, Jared (Ashley) Hutton, Josh (Marissa) Hutton, Roxanne (Drake) Heinhorst, Hunter (Abby) Parks; 10 grandchildren, Jade, Rian, Luke, Tyler, Mason, Lillie, Ryker, Ezra, Cohen, Nolan; 5 siblings, Steve Parks, Sonya Quednow, Troy Parks, Jimmy Parks, Jena Parks; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Rick.

Rocky was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He worked as an Iron Worker with Local #112 in East Peoria for over 20 years.

He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter. Over the years he was very dedicated to Ducks Unlimited, serving as the Manito Chapter President for a period of time. He met no stranger and was a jack of all trades. On any given day you could find him tinkering in his man cave, hiking in the woods in search of good rocks, riding on his Harley, or helping a friend in need. He was one of the bravest and most hard-working men you could ever meet.

Per his wishes, cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Peoria Sportsmans' Club on Friday, September 5th from 4-7pm. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to T.A.P.S. No Kill Animal Shelter in Pekin or Ducks Unlimited Manito Chapter.
