Rod Teeple Obituary Charles Rodney "Rod" Teeple of Leesburg, Indiana passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the age of 78.
He was born on November 28, 1946, in Warsaw, Indiana to Mary Ann McCartney Teeple and Charles Robert Teeple. A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, Indiana, he was a 1965 graduate of Leesburg High School. Rod went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Education from Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois in 1969 and later received his Master's degree from IUPU Fort Wayne. He was a longtime beloved teacher at Washington Elementary School and Leesburg Elementary School teaching 5th and 6th grade retiring in 2012.
Rod married the love of his life on June 22, 1984, Patricia Ann Siuda. They were blessed with 41 years of marriage before he passed away. Even in retirement he kept busy, from gardening, landscaping, golfing, computers and photography. Most of all Rod enjoyed spending time with his family, one of his favorite pastimes was fishing with his great grandson.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Pat Teeple (Leesburg, IN); two daughters, Leanne Coffman (Indianapolis, IN); and Lara Teeple-Chatsworth (CA) and Susan Ferris. As well as five grandchildren who loved to call him "Grumpa", Brittany (and Rondell), Zach, Courtney, Haley and Mercy (and Jenessa Anderson); one great-grandchild, Tobi Coffman-Miller. He also leaves behind his brother, Jerry Teeple (Wooster, OH); and two sisters, Sara Maze (Warsaw, IN); and Barbara (Stan) Zachary (Green Valley, AZ). He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Nancy.
Rod's life will be celebrated with a visitation from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm followed by a service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 16, 2025, at St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 424 W. Market Street, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Rev. Joseph T. Czolgosz. Arrangements of Rod's care were entrusted to Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, Indiana.
Memorial donations in Rod's memory can be directed to St. Anne's Episcopal Church, 424 W Market Street, Warsaw, IN 46580; or to Mercy Ships, P.O. Box 1930, Garden Valley, TX 75771.
