Remus - Roddy Eugene Burns, 66, peacefully passed away on August 20, 2025. He was born on April 4, 1959, to Dale Eugene Burns and Savila Ida (Pitcher) Burns. Roddy worked for many years in the manufacturing industry at Hitachi in Edmore, Michigan. Outside of work, he found joy in the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing, and he was an avid football fan. Known for his great sense of humor, Roddy loved telling stories and joking with those around him. He especially cherished Friday nights spent playing euchre with his special cousin Scott and his family. Roddy was very outgoing and enjoyed spending time at Northwoods in Farwell, Michigan, making countless memories with friends and family. He loved traveling to different places and especially attending ballgames. Roddy is survived by his father, Dale Eugene Burns; sisters, Robin Burns and Renee Burns; nephew Jeremy (Missy) Burns; Nieces Kelly (Terry) Ruppert and Shanna Eckert. Seven great nephews; one great niece; one great great niece, and cousin Scott Burns. And several other uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Savila Ida Burns; brother, Roger Burns; and sister, Rhonda Burns. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Alzheimer's Association of Michigan. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 at 11:00 a.m., at Hinton Township Hall with luncheon to follow. (3 Mile Rd. Lakeview, MI).
