Roderick Lamar Thomison departed from this life on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee at the age of 48. A native of Lynchburg, TN, and later residing in Shelbyville, TN. He was born on September 5, 1976. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 12:00 PM from the Chapel of Lynchburg Funeral Home in Lynchburg with Pastor Alma Herbert officiating. Burial will follow at Highview Cemetery in Lynchburg. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Roderick was a 1994 graduate of Moore County High School. He was very intelligent and ranked in the top ten of his class. Rod was very creative and had an amazing art talent. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents Glenn Lee Wells, Robert Lee and Mary Sue Thomison. He leaves to cherish his memory, loving parents, Robert Lee (Chick) Thomison and Carolyn Anita Wells, Grandmother, Jewell Wells, two daughters, Blaizia Thomison of Lynchburg, Phazia Thomison of Shelbyville and a son Ah'Mazia Thomison of Shelbyville, a devoted partner, Kasie Brazier provided constant and loving care throughout his illness, a brother, Bryan Champion of Austin, Texas, a niece, Jayden Champion and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and friends.
