Roderick David Viator

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, on Saturday, July 9, 2022, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, for Roderick David Viator, 65, who passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022.
Interment will follow in the Holy Family Cemetery.
Rev. Keith Landry will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Pellerin Funeral Home and will continue on Saturday from 8:00 am until 9:30 am.
A rosary, led by the Men's Rosary Group, will be prayed at 6:30 pm Friday.
A native and lifelong resident of New Iberia, Mr. Viator was born on October 28, 1956 to the late Percy and Goldie Louviere Viator. Rod loved going to swap meets at various Tractor Supply locations, where he would sell rabbit cages that he had built and rabbits that he bred. He loved gardening, planting flowers, fishing and the outdoors. Rod also raised chickens for the fresh eggs. He enjoyed sitting outside and listening to Classic Country Saturday Night, especially his favorite artist Reba McEntire. Rod's favorite song, "I Did It My Way", represented his how he lived his life.
Survivors include his wife, Andrea Babineaux; sons, Rod Viator (Alice) of Youngsville and Randy Viator (Tanya) of Loreauville; brothers, Ricky Viator (Balisa) and Chad Viator (Charmaine); grandchildren, William Viator, Jonathan Viator, Breigh Viator and Carter Viator; step granddaughter, AnnaBelle Wurst.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Steve Viator and William "Bill" Viator.
Pallbearers will be Rod Viator, Randy Viator, William Viator, Scott Courville, Douglas Olander, and Gordy Babineaux.
Honorary pallbearers include Chad Viator, Ricky Viator, Breigh Viator, Carter Viator, Jonathan Viator, AnnaBelle Wurst, Ray Leleux, Kevin Leleux and Chance Leleux
