Rodger Michael Baggott, age 75, of Chillicothe, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Rodger was born on May 10, 1947 in Anna, IL to Elmer James and Virgie Eula (Claxton) Baggott.
Surviving are his children, Timothy Baggott of Carbondale, IL, Shannon (Mark) Adams of Loami, IL and Michael Baggott of Murphysboro, IL; his grandchildren, Troy Baggott, Hannah Baggott, Nathaniel Baggott, Grace Adams and Alexander Baggott; and his great-granddaughter, Avery Baggott. Also surviving is his cat, Tikka. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Rodger served his country in the U.S. Army and was retired from Caterpillar. He was a member of the Peoria Casting Club and Chillicothe Sportsman’s Club.
Cremation rites will be accorded and a graveside service will be held on Monday, February 20, 2023 at 1pm at Cobden Cemetery in Cobden, IL. Arrangements are under the care of Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Memorials may be made to SAMS Animal Shelter.
