Rodney “Randy” Alexander Allen, 73, of Sanford, passed away peacefully on Thursday at First Health Hospice House with family by his side.
A lifelong resident of Lee County, he was a skilled carpenter and was known for his excellent carpentry work.
He was predeceased by his parents, Marion and Jessie Allen; his brother, Jim Allen; sister, Ruth Lattanzio; and a grandson, Ashley Allen.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Heather Allen Marsh (Brandon) and his son, Nick Allen; his sister, Norma (Faye) Reedy; grandchildren, Taylor George (Leanne), Cody Allen and Alyssa Allen; and two great-grandchildren, Bryson and Brenlyn George.
He was a devoted father and an avid Duke fan. He loved throwing horseshoes, playing golf, and enjoyed taking a bet on anything.
The family will receive friends at Rogers Pickard Funeral Home from 3-5pm on Sunday March 3, 2024. A private service will be held at a later date.
