Waynesville, Rodney Allen "Codfish" Duguid, 57, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Mission Health.
A native of Illinois, he was the son of Charlotte Friedewald Wright and the late William Duguid. Rod was a man who loved Star Trek, fishing, and was a fan of Pink Floyd and the Chicago Bears. He enjoyed spending time with his wife, family and residents, especially being their “Grillmaster”. Never to be seen without his cooler full of pepsi, ready to pour in his blue cup.
In addition to his mother and step-father, Bill Wright, Rodney is survived by his wife of 17 years, Lisa Duguid; daughter, Deanna Martin (Matt); sister, Angela Johnson (Tony); brother, Jeff Duguid (Buddy); two granddaughters; and lifetime friends Harold and Liz Scott. He had a host of close friends and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in the Waynesville chapel of Wells Funeral Home with Pastor John Paris officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
The care of Mr. Duguid has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Waynesville and an online memorial register is available at "Obituaries" at www.wellsfuneralhome.com.
