Rodney Hoffer, 56, of New Carlisle, IN, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at Northwest Health-La Porte.
He was born February 23, 1967 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Richard Hoffer and Donna (Hatten) Hoffer.
A lifelong resident of the area, Rodney graduated from New Prairie High School in 1986. Though not in the military, he worked as a plumber on Naval Ships, which he loved doing. He was a Christian who was baptized in the Methodist faith. Rodney was a fun loving, light-hearted, happy person who always wanted to be a comedian. He enjoyed going to casinos, fishing and cooking, especially barbecue. He was devoted to his family and his dog, Bella and he will be sorely missed.
He is survived by his mother, Donna Hoffer; his significant other, Melissa Ott; brother, Michael Hoffer of Sebring, FL; sister, Mary Mills of Mishawaka, IN and nephew, Kenny Mills
Rodney was preceded in death by his father; his wife, Roxanne Carrol and nephew, Dyllen Hoffer.
Arrangements are being entrusted to Haverstock Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, IN where the family will receive friends on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. for a visitation. There will be no formal service. Cremation will take place.
