Rodney Kirby Obituary
Rod graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1969. He then attended Ohio Valley College for two years and graduated from David Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN with a degree in accounting. He spent most of his career working in building materials and supplies.
Rod was a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church and volunteered at the Impact Center. He loved being with friends and family, playing golf, going hiking and traveling.
Rod is survived by and leaves behind to treasure his memory, his wife Cathy (Bowen) Kirby and his brother Bob (Kathy) Kirby; sons Justin Kirby, Jared (Katie) Kirby, and Jonathan (Erika) Kirby; step daughter Lauren (Lon) Manley, and step son Aaron (Annie) Swain. He also leaves behind grandchildren Kensley, Kaelyn, Kamryn and Lorelai, Penelope, Orion, and Augustus.
The Kirby family will accept loved ones and friends at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral home, Greenwood Chapel, 481 West Main Street, on June 5th. Visitation will be held from 1pm-3pm with the service following.

I worked with Rod in Indy and he mentored me for my first couple of years in the industry. His willingness to teach me everything he knew is something I will always appreciate. I haven't talked to Rod in a few years and wanted to reach out to let him know about my latest promotion and thank him again. I'm devastated to hear of his passing. I will always remember his sense of humor and VAST knowledge of the millwork industry. He will be dearly missed.
