Rodney Lyons Obituary

He was a devoted husband, father and friend. Rodney loved spending time on the water, whether it be scuba diving or fishing. Rodney found joy working with his hands, building and welding things. He was loved by many, but he also loved others, especially his church family.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Shirley Lyons; children, Steven Moore and wife Amy, Amanda Lyons, Alexis Foster and husband Dusty; grandchildren, Miley, Jace, Isabella, Archie, Hannah; great grandchildren, Ahmarie, Serenity; sibling, Greg Hughes; along with numerous great aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his child, Amy Lyons; grandchild, Audriey Moore; parents, William and Mary Ruth Lyons; siblings, Charlene Stanley, Judy Clark, James Rainwater.
Family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 19, 2025, at Hargrove Bible Baptist Church, 1427 Hargrove Loop, DeQuincy, Louisiana. Bro. Vance Perkins will be officiating. Inurnment will follow at Perkins Cemetery, DeQuincy, Louisiana.
