Rodney David Scheper, son of the late Tick Scheper and Zelma (Blattel) Scheper was born on September 25, 1946 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and departed his life on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 at St. Francis Medical Center Emergency Room in Cape Girardeau, Missouri at the age of 78 years.
He was a retired Engineer for Union Pacific Railroad, affiliated with St. Joseph Catholic Church, and a resident of Scott City. Rodney was a Veteran of the United States Air Force from 1966-1972. Mr. Scheper was a member of Elks and American Legion in Cape Girardeau.
On August 8, 1996 he was united in marriage to Pearl Pratt. Mrs. Scheper survivors of the home in Scott City.
Along with his wife, survivors include one brother, Keith Scheper of Texas; one sister, Janice (Don) Hahs of Scott City; grandson, Chris Limbaugh of Scott City; also, by other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Mike Scheper.
Celebration of Rodney’s life will be from 1:00 - 3:00 pm on Friday, June 27, 2025 at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
