Rogelio Alipio Lim

Rogelio Alipio Lim, 81, passed away Sunday, May 11, 2025. Born August 30,1943 in Matain, Subic Bay, Zambales, Republic of the Philippines.
His early life journey found him working various odd jobs to support his loving family and eventually working as a taxicab driver at the U.S. Subic Naval Base near his home in the Philippines. His work ethic and respectful attitude earned him a promotion as a Navy bus driver at the Diego Garcia U.S. military facility.
Eventually, Rogelio returned home to the Philippines buying a "Trike" (motorcycle with side car) to provide a taxi service in his community.
In December 1996, Rogelio and spouse Rosalinda (d: 2017) moved to Pensacola, Fl., after being petitioned by daughter Rowena (d: 2010).
A month later, Rogelio was already working at a local McDonald's. Months later he began working at the Corry Naval Station Galley (mess hall), eventually transferring to the Naval Air Technical Center Galley at Naval Air Station Pensacola where he worked until his retirement in 2017. One note, Rosalinda followed Rogelio at the same work locations, which simply reinforced their commitment to each other.
Committed to supporting their children still in the Philippines, while submitting immigration petitions, Rogelio (d: 2017 Rosalinda) studied and attained U.S. citizenship in 2008. Commitment to family and to each other earned them widespread respect from friends/coworkers who praised the couple's kindness, humbleness, family commitment and devotion to each other.
In addition to losing his partner of 52 ½ years, Rosalinda in 2017; he lost a daughter and son, Rowena in 2010 and Rey in 2017 respectively.
Rogelio leaves behind sons, Roy, Ruel, Rommel and Mark Andrew; and daughter, Rosemarie; grandchildren, Miraquel, Gene, John Paul, Ralph Laurence, Christian, Albert, John Carlo, RJohn, Ruela, Princes Camille, Maria Luisa, Jastin Lee, Roiceleen, Mary Grace, Abigail and Alissa; also, two great grandchildren, Aiyanna and E'Yari.
Traditional Funeral services will be held at Pensacola's Little Flower Catholic Church (Lillian Hwy and 57th St), on Saturday, May 24, 2025, Mass beginning at 12:00 p.m. followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery.
The viewing is Friday, May 23, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Trahan Family Funeral Home (now located at 60 Industrial Blvd).
