Roger Akin Obituary
Mr. Robert "Roger" Akin, age 77, of Westmoreland, TN, passed away on January 13, 2025. He was born in Macon County, TN to the late Ernest and Sarah Mae Akin on July 27, 1947.
Mr. Roger owned a used car lot for decades, as well as being a law enforcement officer for 32 years. Roger was saved by the grace of God as a young boy.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Darren Akin; his grandson, Landon Woodall; his granddaughter, Cheyenne Woodall; his sister, Janice Creasy; and his brother, Larry Akins.
Mr. Roger is survived by his wife of 59 years, Marie Akin of Gallatin, TN; his daughters, Kandy (Kevin) Woodall of Hartsville, TN, Kellie (Jeff) Rauschenberg of Murfreesboro, TN and Jessica Marshall of White House, TN; his grandchildren, Ashlynne Manning, Zane Marshall and Ahnna Marshall; his great-grandson, Jaxtyn Jones; his sisters, Wilma Moore, Diane Ferrell, Ernesteen Weems, Kathy Freeman and Teresa Fuqua; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral services for Mr. Akin will be conducted on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at 1PM from the chapel of Woodard Funeral Home with Bro. Jon Briggs officiating. Interment will follow in the Siloam Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors on Friday, January 17th from 2PM till 8PM and again on Saturday, January 18th from 9AM till service time at 1PM at Woodard Funeral Home.
The family has entrusted Woodard Funeral Home with the care of their loved one.
