Roger Edward Anderson, formerly of Braham and Mora, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge. He was 89 years old.

Roger was born on April 18, 1936, in Tamarack, Minnesota to parents Edward and Ailie (Latvala) Anderson. He grew up in Cloquet where he attended Garfield grade school before moving to Kettle River in the 6th grade. In 8th grade he began school in Moose Lake, graduating in 1954. Roger was drafted into the United States Army in October of 1954 and served active duty overseas until October of 1958.

On August 20, 1960, Roger was united in marriage to Elva Johnson at the Hope Lutheran Church in Moose Lake. They made their home in Braham and were blessed with three children. Roger worked in the twin ports area until 1964 when he began his 33-year career by working as a lineman at East Central Electric. Over the years he rose to be the Cambridge Area Supervisor and finally a staking engineer before retiring in July of 1997. He and Elva moved to Mora where they enjoyed many years living by the river. Roger loved to garden and keep meticulous care of his lawn and home.

Roger was an active member of the St. Stephen's Lutheran Church in Braham since 1964, serving in numerous roles including the church council, being an elder, and singing in the choir. Roger loved the outdoors hunting and fishing. He had a passion for sports, especially baseball, golf, and bowling. He was an avid Twins and Viking fan, win or lose.
