Roger A. Angelo Sr., 70, of Latrobe, passed away on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at his home.
Born April 21, 1955, in Uniontown, he was the son of the late Sullivan Angelo Sr. and Violet Rosetta (Engle) Angelo.
Roger had been a member of Latrobe Presbyterian Church. He attended Penn State University. Prior to his retirement, he was a Federal Inspector for the U.S. Department of the Interior, Mining Division. Roger enjoyed mowing his lawn and harvesting fruits at home. An avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed horseshoes and watching the Steelers.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Louise (Musnug) Angelo; two sons, Michael L. and Roger A. Angelo Jr.; one daughter, Justeen Marie Angelo; two sisters, Carrie Strosnider and Sherry Chipps; and one brother, Samuel Engle.
Roger is survived by three grandchildren, Dakota D. Schall, Roger A. Angelo III, and Damien M. Angelo; four great-grandchildren, Jacob L. Angelo, Tommy Lee Angelo Gray, Arisella Dickson, and Gryphon Angelo; five brothers, Sullivan Angelo III (Mary), Anthony Angelo, David Angelo (Judy), Danny Angelo, and Christopher Angelo (Rebecca); and five sisters, Rev. Rose Bircher (Albert), Thelma Hanger (Richard), Clarice Ribniscky, Candace Hall, and Tammy Angelo.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Monday, January 12, 2026, at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. A funeral service will be held at 11 am Tuesday, January 13, 2026, in the funeral home. Private interment will be at Bethel Cemetery. Donations may be made to Action for Animals, P.O. Box 814, Latrobe, PA 15650.
