Roger Bojens

Roger Dean Bojens, 89 of Springfield, Missouri, formerly of Sioux City, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025 at Arbor Memory Care of Springfield.
He was born September 3, 1936 in Hartley, Iowa to Harold and Mae Bojens. He graduated from Hartley High School and Morningside College.
He was united in marriage on August 5, 1956 to Konnie Kay Hirt. They were married for over 69 years. Roger and Konnie lived in Sioux City, and Okoboji, Iowa for over 40 years before moving to Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and then Springfield, Missouri.
Roger was co-owner of Bojens and Seymour, Bojens and Wikert, and a partner in Educational Management in Lincoln and Omaha, Nebraska. He also served on the Board of Directors of Morningside College and Norwest Bank.
He was also a member of the M-Club Hall of Fame and received the Morningside College Alumni Award in 1987.
Roger enjoyed athletics, golf, boating and most of all his love for the L.A. Dodgers. He and Konnie spent many years in Vero Beach, Florida at the Dodgers Spring Training Camp along with attending the Dodgers games at a number of major league parks.
He is survived by his wife, Konnie; daughters, Melanie Krumbholz, Michele Lewis and her husband John, Cathy Wingert and her husband Ernie, and Jennifer Widlowski and her husband Joe; ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, Lisa Kay, an infant brother, Thomas Jay, and son-in-law, Dave Krumbholz.
A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
