Roger Dean Bosse

Roger Dean Bosse passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at his residence in Murrells Inlet, SC, at the age of 70. Roger was born on December 13, 1952, in Havre de Grace, MD, and was the son of the late Francis Xavier and Virginia Mae (Dumdey) Bosse. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Lee Bosse in 2011. Roger is survived by his beloved wife, Mary J. Bosse, sister Sharon Stewart and brother-in-law Jimmy Stewart, niece Denise Baker and husband Craig Baker and their children Lauren and Tate Baker.
Roger had a B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Thomas College in Waterville, ME, as well as a Culinary Degree from La Academia De Cuisine in Bethesda, MD. Roger was a seasoned manager in the Food Industry, serving as District Manager, Mid-Atlantic Region, of DAKA International (since acquired by Compass Group) managing Food Service Contracts for schools, colleges and universities and B&I Accounts. He was the owner of LEDO PIZZA in Glen Burnie, MD, as well as serving as Chef/Manager for many years at Archbishop Spalding High School in Severn, MD. He was proficient in personnel management, operations management, and communications within all areas/levels of an organization.
Roger loved boating and sports, both playing and spectator, and was a devoted fan and season ticket holder of the then Washington Redskins (now Commanders) football team. He was an outstanding pool player, nearly choosing a professional billiards career over his ultimate love of the food industry.
A special note of recognition goes to Waccamaw Hospital, with gratitude and appreciation to the neurosurgical team who performed such outstanding care and services in connection with Roger's health and well-being along the way, especially his Neurosurgeon Dr. Oluwaseun Omofoye and his staff.
Agape Care - Home Hospice bedside services were conducted by Chaplain John Mullins, along with Jessica Chariker and Annisa Runde. A special prayer of gratitude and appreciation goes to Ruby Gail Marsh, Agape CNA whose understanding and interaction with Roger allowed him great comfort along the way.
Cremation services are being handled by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel, Murrells Inlet, SC.
