Roger Lee Briggs; age 60 of Lake Orion; went home to be with the Lord on October 14, 2024. Beloved husband of Naomi for 37 years; loving son of Gary L. and Sharon E. Briggs; son-in-law of Carolyn E. Kelly; dear brother of Greg Briggs, Dave (Michele) Briggs, and Sherry (Tom) Gasser; brother-in-law of David (Gail) Kelly; wonderful uncle of James Briggs, Jennifer Briggs, Joshua Briggs, Kelly Jo Gasser, Sophia Kelly, Olivia Kelly, and Christian Kelly. Roger is also survived by many dear aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and extended work and church family.
Roger holds a Bachelors Degree from Ferris State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University.
Roger retired from General Motors after 34 years. He holds several patents for innovative parts and systems he developed during his years at General Motors.
Roger loved the water, boats, especially antique wooden boats, all things mechanical, camping, popcorn and spending time with Naomi. He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 – 11am at the North Auburn Hills Baptist Church, 3889 Squirrel Rd., Auburn Hills. The family will receive family and friends on Wednesday from 3pm to 8pm at Modetz Funeral Home, 100 E. Silverbell Rd. Orion and Thursday at the church at 10:30am until time of service.
Suggested memorials may be made to the church for missions.
