Roger Elbert Collier, Sr.

Roger Elbert Collier, 89, of Hilliard, FL passed away at his home Monday, June 9, 2025. He was born in Pink Hill, NC to the late Neal Collier and Roland Tindall Collier. He was a contractor by trade but loved to garden and play cards. He was a faithful member of Buford Grove Baptist Church and loved the Lord with all his heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-mother: Tibby Lee Collier and 3-brothers: Lloyd V. Collier, Woodrow Collier and R.C. Collier.

He is survived by wife of 70 years: Maxine Carter Collier; 3-children: Betty Jane (Sonny) Davis, Rebecca (Phil) Kibling and Roger E. Collier, Jr.; 8-grandchildren and 12-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 12 at 11:00 AM at Buford Grove Baptist Church with Pastors Joey Davis, Daniel Gilliam and Keith Carringer officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
