Roger Dale Cornett, 71, of Skiatook passed away on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026, in Tulsa.
Roger was born in Coffeyville, Kansas to William Chaester and Elsie Mae (Oder) Cornett. Roger grew up in Coffeyville and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School. Roger entered the United States marine Corp in 1974 where he served his country proudly. As a young man Roger attended Pittsburg State University for business administration receiving his bachelor’s degree. Roger worked many jobs in the area until eventually retiring from Miller Trucking. In 2002 Roger was united in marriage to Linda Guiltner. The couple spent their time fishing, camping, having cookouts, with family and friends and going on trips together. Roger enjoyed painting, doing crafts, guns, hot rods and activities with friends and family. Roger loved Jesus, and he encouraged others to get to know Jesus. He always wanted people to do the right thing in their life. He enjoyed fellowship with other Christian’s and always enjoyed sitting down to a good meal.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, William and Elsie Cornett, as well as a grandson, Deylon and a brother David Cornett as well as his wife Melinda Cornett.
Roger is survived by his loving wife, Linda of the home, as well as one son, Jamie Cornett and wife, Miranda. Four bonus children, Jason Kuehn and wife Amber, Jefferey Kuehn, Jelaina Kuehn, and Jerron Kuehn and wife, Beth, granddaughter, Abigail Cornett and grandchildren, Desmon, Danae, Deshon, Deyonna, Harley, Dillon, Andrew, and Kauner. One great grandchild, Amias, Roger’s siblings, Pat Upton and husband Jerry, and Mary Himmelreich and husband Paul, Donna Payden, and husband Doug, Randy Cornett and wife, Galinda, and Tony Cornett and a host of other nieces and nephews and friends. Roger will be missed by all who knew and oved him.
